REGISTERED ADDRESS

Under Companies Act, every company is required to have a local registered office address in Singapore at the point of incorporation.

CRETERIA FOR A REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS

A registered office address needs to fulfil the following criteria:

  • It refers to the place where all communications and notices may be addressed. It is also the place where the company’s or LLP’s register and records are kept.

  • It must be operational and accessible to the public during normal office hours, but need not be where the company or LLP conducts its activities (e.g. registered office address is in Raffles Place, but the factory is in Tuas).

  • It has to be a physical office address in Singapore.

  • It cannot be a P.O. box address.

CAN YOU USE YOUR HOME ADDRESS AS REGISTERED ADDRESS?

You can use your home address as the registered address. This is allowed under the Home Office Scheme administered by URA.

However, when you do so, you do not have privacy as the address is public information and can be easily found. Hence, most entrepreneurs still prefer to use the CBD area registered address offered by us. This also enhances the company’s image when you present your business cards to your prospective clients and vendors.

When companies use our registered address service, they can still use their residential address to conduct business under the Home Office Scheme. They need not rent an expensive office unit and can save a lot of cost.
